Your wedding is a reflection of your unique story, thoughtfully curated down to the finest detail. Your photography should be no different. I like to treat my packages as the foundation then tailor every element to what matters most to you - taking into consideration the location of your celebration, the timelines, and how you envision your heirloom images being crafted.

Custom collections are available upon request if your day doesn't fall within the typical blueprint of a wedding day, and often are my favourite days.

1. Do you travel for destination weddings or sessions?

Absolutely! Travelling and getting to capture love stories from across the world is one of my favourite parts of this. Where possible, I try to keep my travel fees at minimum - you won't catch me charging cents per km like some do! I am based in Wellington so events within reason generally don't incur any travel fees. If you have any questions, please reach out and I'd be happy to see what I can include in your session and provide estimates for any outstanding travel.

2. Do you help with planning our photos or ideas ahead of time?

Part of being an "editorial" style photographer means exactly that - planning. Artful photos can stem from candid moments, but the portrait sessions generally do require careful planning and detail oriented attention prior to your big day as well as on it. I like to find out what style you like or ideas you have and plan from there. My planning involves taking into consideration the unique aspects of your day such as your outfits, your venue and the lighting at it, your personal story and chemistry with one another, and any unique features or designs you put into your day. I am happy to be involved as little or as much as possible, and I am happy to work alongside any events planner or other vendors as well. A goal for 2026 is to add Wedding Planning into Atelier, so I am passionate about this side of things and how to best capture it.

3. Do you coordinate with other Vendors? Can we book second photographers, videographers or content creators?

I always welcome additional vendors on your team - videography is something I don't currently offer but love to work alongside, and content creation is a wonderful way of capturing RAW or BTS views of your day that I may not with curated (edited) and planned images. I only ask that you let me know who you have booked prior to your wedding so I can be in contact with them to ensure a seamless flow of events, and to ensure any moments they plan/need get accommodated for. Though rare, if you would like to book a second photographer to capture your wedding in a new light, please be in touch with me first as this is up to my discretion - doubling up on photography can quickly get messy and disorganised, but where possible I am happy to accommodate these requests.

4. Do you shoot on digital or film?

I do a mix of both! My primary image delivery is on digital as I find everyone wants the clarity and detail it provides. I am a Sony shooter, and for those who speak the language of cameras... you'll frequently find me with a 24-70 f1.8 as my primary lens and a 55-210 for the ceremony specifically. For larger scale weddings that involve complex flatlays or detail photos, I tend to have a 50mm prime lens on as well. For film, I typically shoot a mix of Porta 400 35mm film, and typically provide some on a dispo-lens as well for a mix of true film, and looks-like-film photos.

5. How long does it take to receive our gallery? Do you do sneak peaks or proofing?

Gallery delivery in a reasonable timeframe is something that I am passionate about. While artistry and curation takes time, I don't believe couples should be waiting 6+ months for photos that has become the industry standard. My turn around time in 2026 is contracted at 8-12 weeks, but I am to have them to you asap. Generally I do sneak peaks within 48 hours of when your event ends, even when travel is involved! This is a mini look at your gallery, often 15-50 photos for you to be excited about while still in the honeymoon days.

6. Can I request specific poses or shots?

Yes! A million times yes, send me all your saved photo inspiration from sources like The Wed, Vogue and The Anti-Bride... I promise I'm over here taking in all the inspiration too! Your day will always be authentic to you and never a direct copy of your Pinterest inspiration because art cannot be replicated, your story is unique to you, and no one will have the same design or day as you. That being said, we can absolutely look at other artists work and appreciate the essence and editorial posing of it and work it into the fashion of your day. True artists are always undertaking inspiration from each other, supporting them and letting their passion upscale their own.

7. Can we meet before the session?

ALWAYS - I prefer to meet via a phone call or zoom before even booking you for your wedding or session. One of the biggest parts of our work together is that foundational relationship that you feel comfortable around me, safe sharing your biggest ideas, and that you trust I can help bring them to life. When location allows, I am always happy to meet in person for a coffee and chat or planning session. For those farther away I am always reachable by email or phone call, and I aim to reply to all messages within 24-48 hours, even when non-urgent. Generally once you're booked we are in contact frequently at the start to settle general timelines and ideas, and then a few months go by until we are closer to your date and discussing your final plans and goals, and then a quick check in about a week before, and then THE BIG DAY!

8. Do you deliver raw images aka non-edited images? Can we have access to all the unedited images you take?

The short answer is no. The long answer is that part of curating your day means curating the images. What does this look like? First I back up all of your images to numerous places so they are never lost. Then I curate the best of the photos - ones where you look your best, the emotions are showing, or everyone has their eyes open and best smile on in group photos. From there I spend weeks analysing the lighting and editing them to show the best lighting, to pop the emotions and highlight the artistry that we aimed for. Taking the photos with the right posing and prompting, capturing the right candids and details is only about 75% of the production. Quite simply put, RAW photos are an unfinished product and not reflective of my work or what you hired me for. You hired me because you trust in my vision, my ability to curate heirloom memories and document your day in a way that you dream of - you don't hire me for only 75% of my artistry. All of the unedited images taken are copyrighted to me as per our contract - if you feel a photo is missing from your gallery that you would like I am always happy to take another look through and provide a curated version of it where possible.
